“You Need One Of These!”

I could not stress the need hard enough for someone living on solar/battery power to have a good battery monitor like the Bogart Trimetric 2030, or 2030RV. You can never know what is in the “Tank” with out a good gauge. I could go on forever, but don’t just take my word lisen to what “Bob” said….. Because “Handy Bob said so”!

HandyBob’s 9 GOLDEN RULES for living on Solar and Battery Power

Mike’s Twin Solar Power System!

Howdy Campers!

Here is Mike’s Twin system we installed for him last fall.  With 900-watts between two Morningstar/Tristar 45-amp PWM solar controllers. Two 450-AH battery banks for a total of 900-AH’s of power storage. He should have plenty of power to make that morning cup of “Solar Coffee”!

Mike, a working Oil Truck Driver, is a “Part-timer” right now; but with this system he may be a full time “Off-Grid RVer” some day soon!

Thanks Mike for the chance to help you get “Solar Powered”.

If we can help you with your solar needs please e-mail or call us anytime!

Happy Trails!!!

John & Brenda’s New “Off-Grid RV” Life!

Howdy Campers! We met some very wonderful people this summer up on “Solar Hill”! One couple that impressed us was John & Brenda. They ditched the “Normal” life to go fultime RV. It was a pleasure when we helped them into the “Off-Grid RV” lifestyle.

Here is a look at the inside controls & communication devices after the solar power storage system installation. This is another one of several video’s we hope to put out on John & Brenda’s solar power install in to their class-A motor home.

Here is a look at the roof after the installation of (8)-150 watt solar panels.(1200-watts total) This is just one of several video’s we hope to put out there on John & Brenda’s solar power install in to their class-A motor home.

Happy Trails!!!

Welcome to Mobile Homesteading! Liberating the RV world with alternative portable power to really “Get Out There” and enjoy camping again! This site is for those who live fulltiming and love to drycamp or those who long to do the same. We help RVer’s move over to the “Fulltiming Boondocking” life. Come with us on our journey living “BIG” in a small living space, because you don’t need a large home when you have all of nature at your back door!                                                                                                       We have been fulltimers for over 10+years. I worked at many things to help keep out little rolling home afloat. We live mostly “Off-Grid” and found a way to share with, and help other RVer’s to learn how to make the transition to a “Off-Grid RVing” lifestyle. Kelli and I just spent 6 exciting
days with Eddie and his girls, WOW! We are thrilled with the results. We are also impressed with his knowledge of and commitment to installing our mobile off grid system to the absolute highest standards. This has been a lifelong dream of ours and we could not be happier.
To make it even more special, the boondocking location we did the install was excellent.
This man knows his business and his passion to get it just right was such a pleasure to witness. We also enjoyed spending time with the entire family, tadpoles and all!
Many Thanks!
Fondly,
Steve & Kelli
